How it works
Questions
- What does PixelTach Workbox cost?
- $10 a year, in US dollars, billed once a year. Payments are handled by Polar. It unlocks the Signal Flow Planner, the Multi-output canvas (Early Access) and PixelTach Offline, and gives you a say in what gets built next.
- What stays free?
- The EDID and video timing calculator, EDID export, the guides, the API and MCP server, the Videohub tool, the Signal Flow Planner live demo and view-only shared shows. Supporting PixelTach does not take any of that away from anyone.
- How does buying work?
- You check out with Polar and receive a Supporter key in your receipt email. In PixelTach, choose Support, then Already a supporter, and enter the key. It is checked once online and then remembered on that device. One key works on up to 5 devices, and you can remove a device from the Support panel or the customer portal.
- Does it renew by itself?
- Yes. It is a yearly subscription, so the card you used is charged once a year and the same key keeps working with nothing to enter. Polar emails you about a week before each renewal.
- How do I cancel?
- Any time, in the Polar customer portal. You keep access until the end of the year you paid for, and you are not charged again.
- What if a payment fails, or my year ends?
- If a renewal payment fails, there is a 7-day grace period before access stops. When a year has ended, PixelTach Workbox locks on your devices, but your saved shows stay in your browser. To come back, renew, then enter the new Supporter key from your receipt email: renewing after a year has ended issues a new key, and the old one does not come back.
- I paid the one-time $10 before it became yearly. What now?
- Early supporters who paid once keep access for good, with the key they already have. Nothing changes for you.
- Where do I find my key if I lose it?
- In the Polar customer portal: enter the email you bought with and Polar sends you a one-time code.
- Does PixelTach track me?
- PixelTach counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or local storage for analytics and does not fingerprint visitors. Your timings, shows and EDID files are not uploaded: they stay in your browser, and a share link keeps the show in the part of the address that is never sent to a server.
